Description The head is not modeled in the round, but its back surface curves inward towards the center. In general, only the major features are articulated with a minimum of modeling. The mouth is formed by undercutting, especially beneath the lower lip. This undercutting in turn emphasizes the prominence of the chin. The lips curve slightly upwards at the edges. From the side, the top lip curves in and down at the center. The nose is a simple triangular wedge.[Second 19670001 Catalog Citation: For description, see separate cards.]*
Fabric Description Fairly coarse clay with tiny pieces of white stone and mica fired an orange-brown. Traces of brownish-red paint remain.
