Condition All the surfaces of both the terracotta and slag are pitted, worn, and encrusted. The slag displays large white inclusions. The reverse side of the fragment shows damage from modern excavation tools. All the edges appear to be ancient breaks.
Fabric Description Terracotta and Slag
Description A large, flat fragment of terracotta preserves a small section of slag on one of its corners. The adhered slag is relatively thin and the terracotta itself does not appear vitrified. Both the slag and the terracotta have large white inclusions.
