Description | The soil in Locus 2 is much darker in color than the humus layer of Locus 1, and very clay-like in texture. There are numerous small, loose rocks coming up during all pick passes. Terracotta and pottery fragments were found. There are small pockets of a blue soil that are coming through in some areas of the Locus, but the color remains mostly olive green/grayish brown. Some of the blue pockets of soil have a slightly fetted smell. |
