Description Single large mandible bone, quite weathered and broken in many pieces. Bone is quite soft. Large unit hand collected and dry-sieved, mainly size sheep/goat, some size cattle. Identifiable remains of sheep/goat, cattle, dog. From dry sieve mainly small fragments. Comes from the exterior(?) area to the southeast of the dig, east of wall F.1960. Seems to have integrity. NR 2007: Sample 1 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded as diagnostics and flot frags only. It is a moderate size sample of mostly little crumbles with some pieces in the 5-7 cm range. Mostly sheep-size with a little large mammal. Surface condition is variable, with most looking somewhat worn. Ca. 10% burning, a little digestion. Diagnostics are all sheep/goat. Fairly even body part distribution. Looks like dirty fill.
