Field Description | 10 cm sample, top of which is about 8 cm below base of 99-363 and ca 11 cm below beginning of Layer F. Sediment is silty yellowish brown [10YR5/4], well consolidated. White carbonate (?) is visible throughout, but occurs more as diffuse material throughout the matrix and not as veins or intercalations. Very dark, thick (~5-7 mm) bands and concretions of hardened apatite (?). Occasional TR balls, but these appear orangey, not bright red. |
