Description | A section of the last floor bedding of the PWC. This locus was named because the excavator originally thought that a concentration of small stones near the south face of the Bench indicated the presence of a foundation there. Subsequent excavation demonstrated that this locus was part of the late floor bedding (see above, Locus 1, for a full description) and that the Bench was founded on this level. |
