Description | Fine impasto handle fragment is roughly ovoid in section. It has two finished faces and two finished edges, one of which has ancient breaks at both ends; one break edge has a portion with a toolmark and lateral modern break and another portion with a transverse ancient break. 0.01924m from the min. pres. width end, the finished edges curves slightly convexly in profile to the opposite break edge. The other edge is not well preserved, but may have had a similar profile. On the exterior finished face is preserved a bifurcation, with a max. pres. length of 0.02013 m. The interior face is finished and somewhat convex in section. |
