Underlies Locus 1, large stones at floor level of southwest South Corridor, aligned east west.
Location Under the current floor level, to the southwest of the Southwest column, below the top layer of stones.
Description This locus, too, contained little pottery, although all present appeared to be Nabataean, as should be expected for levels below the main building itself. The Munsell color of this thin and loosely packed, yet almost damp, layer of soil was 7.5YR3/3, Dark Brown.
