Descriptive Attribute Value(s)
Stage Description Main construction of the Bath Complex.
Description This canalization is coming from the North Rooms loutron. The wall of the west wall of the room has suffered from rebuilding and there are makeshift ashlar blocks on the exterior that were thrown against a hole in the wall, probably to control and perhaps to stop the water flow. This ashlar slab, 0.65 m-by-0.45 m, is standing on its short end. There is a pipe that is laid in the especially pierced opening through the lower courses of stones. It is a lead pipe that is located below the Locus 34 canalization system in the bottom ashlar. The bath system seems to have been planned as a single unit and it appears that it is on the same axis of orientation as the Great Temple, northwest to southeast. This locus along with others of the bath complex appears to be self-contained elements in an overall design that physically distinguish different areas of the baths.
