Condition Restored from twenty-one sherds comprising entire base and two-thirds of body of bowl. Slightly chipped, much of surface decoration worn off.
Description Shallow, asymmetrical bowl with round mouth and round, slightly raised base (height 0.008 m), and raised rim which is slightly everted at top, constricted and then flaring below on exterior, giving shape of a shoulder. Interior of rim has single groove running just below edge. Base has shallow circular groove in center (diameter 0.055 m). Decoration: base has off-center incision of a five-pointed star, dimensions 0.019 x 0.023 m. Traces of painted decoration: exterior: band of red paint approximately 0.015 m wide just below "shoulder" formed by rim, interior: rim has traces of red paint, a single line of black paint just inside groove of rim, and at least nine concentric black rings of varying width, near center of vessel and concentric with it.
