Description | Dry sieve material only - and just four fragments which are all cattle sized. There is one long bone fragment, two indeterminates and a long piece of rib (20 cms long). This rib is split longitudinally and the inside shows the spongy bone to be dissolved/eroded looking, almost like it has been gnawed and acid etched, but there are no sigs of gnawing on the piece. Maybe this relates to post-depositional conditions instead? (waterlogging?). Otherwise all the bone is in good condition. Last record = F4. |
