| Field Description | Sample 12 cm long; top of sample about 5 cm below base of HAY-99-360. Sample from base of Layer E. Sediment dark brown [7.5YR4/4] silt. Fairly well consolidated and veins of white calcite are visible but they are not as thick or extensive as in the overlying samples. TR balls are more common than previously. Mm size charcoal fragments are also visible although still rare. |
