Condition | Tile fragment is restored from two smaller fragments and preserves very heavily warped, worn, cracked, pitted, and irregular surfaces distorted due to vitrification. One end preserves a large inclusion 0.023 m in max. pres. diameter. The more heavily cracked surface bears a piece of carbon 0.015 m x 0.008 m. |
Description | A large, heavily vitrified tile fragment preserves a warped, concave finished surface, a convex unfinished surface, and one finished edge bearing two scored ridges with a flattened recessed area 0.010 m in width. The tile thickens noticibly toward the interior break edge. The unfinished surface also preserves a slightly raised area of attachment for plaster measuring 0.053 m x 0.019 m coming from the interior break edge. |
