Condition | Preserves rim fragment of vase with complete handle. Chipped and heavily worn. |
Description | Same type of handle as 19680160, but plainer. Instead of an attached head, there is merely a hollow curved projection. The hole in the vase rim is (the "backing") 0.030 m by 0.040 m; the thickened part of the rim is 0.021 m thick. The rim is flattened on top. When the vase was complete, the handle would have projected from the vase at a downward slant. There are blackened areas on the handle and several dark brown areas that may be traces of paint. |
Fabric Description | Coarse clay with bits of stone, fired orange brown. |
