Description | Fragment of the upper part of the spouted funnel preserves a thick, rounded rim that makes a broad, raised ridge on the exterior surface. The fragment curves broadly, then thins and curves sharply downward, preserving a small portion of a thinner, rounder finished edge. The ground of the exterior surface is painted in dusky red slip, and below the rim on the exterior is a broad band of white slip. Below that is portion of a design consisting of a teardrop shape surrounded by a lobed, ovoid element. |
