Condition Broken on all sides. The piece is heavily vitrified on the interior and along the sides. The surfaces are very worn and pitted. Only the exterior surface is preserved.
Description Possibly a crucible fragment with slag impacted onto vitrified impasto. The slag projects from the interior of the piece. The exterior of the piece is mottled, perhaps due to firing, and the edges appear to be vitrified.
