Description | A fragment of fenestrated impasto vessel, possibly a fragment of a sieve. The faces are finished, with the exterior slightly convex and the interior slightly concave. Portions of nine and one full fenestration are preserved in a grid of three registers in both max. pres. length and max. pres. width directions. The fully preserved fenestration, not perfectly circular, is max. pres. width of 0.00399m. On the interior face two partially preserved fenestrations have extra adhered clay around their edges, suggesting that the fenestration was done from exterior to interior face before the vessel was fired. |
