Condition | The ears are not preserved. Broken around attachment to sima. Its left eye is damaged. Traces of red paint, especially in nostrils and on the rear of sima attachment. |
Description | The work on this spout is rough; the surface is not even, as if it had not been smoothed out after it was made. The mouth is taller then wide. The front of the mouth does not form a ingle plane, but curves to the fangs, which slant forward to the lower jaw. The lower jaw slants down from its origin. The nose is semi-circular with deep nostrils. The bulging eyes are set in almost rectangular sockets. The triangular side holes behind the fangs are quite large. |
