Description | The humus layer of CA-59 was designated locus 1. It was a very clumpy, medium brown soil with a clay-like texture. There are several large patches of root rot of varying shades of white. There are a lot of roots in this layer due to the presence of at least 7 stumps in the trench. Only worn terracotta and 2 pottery sherds were recovered in this locus |
