Bird Specimens Description >4mm flotation #4058 (#1-22) is quite large, even after removing a large amount of non-bird. From throughout the body, but mostly long bones. About a quarter burnt, variable weathering. Range of bird sizes. >4mm flotation #4060 (#23-24), 9 liters, says 114(B) and has a couple of mammal bones including a hare claw, and 2 bird long bone shaft fragments of varying surface condition. >4mm flotation #4048 (#25-36) says from 144 but I suspect a miscopy of 114. About half is mammal and amphibian. The fair number of bird specimens are mostly long bone shaft fragments, with diagnostics from the breast and wing. About 20% burnt, some digested. >4mm flotation #4055 (#37-52), 29 liters, is of moderate size after removing a good bit of mammal and amphibian. It is mostly or entirely medium bird, through the body with emphasis on wings. About a third burnt. Relatively large pieces.
