Condition The pan tile is broken on three sides at the edges. The exterior and interior faces of the pan tile are finished, but worn, pitted, abraided, and encrusted. The interior pan face bears modern scratches. The flange is finished on the interior and the exterior. The interior is chipped. The flange is worn, abraided, and encrusted.
Description A terra cotta raking sima fragment with tall flange which rises up vertically 0.03808m from the point of perpendicular intersection with the pan, but it is broken at the top, with the result that the full height of the flange is not preserved. In profile, the flange is slightly convex on the interior, which the exterior face of the flange is flat. Both faces of the flange are finished. The pan fragment is roughly rectangular in shape measuring 0.118m by 0.08398m. The pan has a concave lipped attachment to the flange. The interior finished face of the pan slopes gradually down away from the point of attachment of the flange, creating a slightly convex profile. The opposite face of the pan is flat and finished.
