Description Fragment of flat, "cut-out" type architectural decoration with flat, rough back or bottom side, short, flat, curving edges, and flat top or front side with incised surface - general outline of fragment is that of one curved section wider at bottom, and tapering slightly at "top", with a shorter section, apparently made in an opposite curve running almost perpendicular to larger section, and tapering to join it on its shorter curved section at a deep, rough groove marking the edge of the larger section. Both sections have simple incised decoration on top: shallow, thin parallel grooves running near edges of pieces along their outlines, with thin diagonal grooves running parallel to each other and across surface between the two curved lines - these are roughly incised, with ends of lines in some places cutting through the outer grooves (six diagonals on larger section, one on smaller).
Fabric Description Murlo terracotta, lighter orange than usual fabric, with softer surface with much sand and very small white stones.
