Description | Southernmost column within the trench, fourth column in the Eastern Colonnade (Neil Column) from the north. This column remains mostly unexcavated. Only the top 0.70 m of the remains of the column are visible, since the east Inter-Columnar Wall was later built and now surrounds the rest of the column. Some white, fluted plaster remains on the column at this level. The plaster decoration of the columns remains enigmatic at this point (see Locus 102). |
