Condition Worn, especially around the top hole.
Description Conical shape, unsymmetrical. At approximately 0.006 m from the base, the sides curve inward so that the whorl rests on a ring approximately 0.022 m in diameter. Hole: max. diameter at the base. NB: a slightly larger, but similar, spindle whorl in the same cassetta is also given the designation PC 19690002 (69-2, in black ink).
Fabric Description Coarse terracotta. Fired buff with traces of mica and white stone throughout. Traces of dark firing on the surface and around the base. Surface worn.
