Condition Broken on left side and at bottom; head and parts of rosette bowl broken off.
Description Preserves part of right end of sima, including cavetto, head scar and rosette. The head scar is narrow at the top and curves broadly out, forming an outline similar to that of head 19680195; however, another type of head may have been used. There are extensive fingermarks around the scar, (which overlap the cavetto; the scar itself does not), and around the rosette. On the right edge of the sima next to the head scar are lumps showing how the clay was smoothed over the back of the head. Much paint is preserved. There is red paint over the entire front surface and the outside of the rosette. The entire inside (except perhaps the central knob) of the rosette is red also, with white overpaint on alternate petals. White paint also appears in the groove bewteen the first and second strigils on the right, and below the third strigil just above the fingermarks around the head scar. Smaller more doubtful traces appear between the fifth and sixth strigils from the right and below the groove between the eighth and ninth.
Fabric Description Coarse clay with inclusions of stone fired orange-brown.
