Condition Portion of left side of a plaque broken on right edge and right part of cornice; bottom left corner chipped. Joined from five pieces. Most relief still sharp; traces of red and white paint preserved.
Description Preserves left end of plaque, including most of guilloche border, nine strigils and six studs (and two more abraded). Scene includes entire trophy and second and third horses and riders, except for head and part of foreleg of second horse. Preserves two nailholes, one between thrid and fourth strigils and one below belly of third horse. Details of relief relatively fine; note traces of paint, especially red paint on mane of third horse.
Fabric Description Murlo terracotta: coarse red clay with bits of mica and white stone, fired orange-brown.
