Top (m) Opening Levels: 905.326 masl at northeast, 905.306 masl at southeast.
Description This bedding is comprised of a soil of 5 YR 4/4 (Reddish Brown), which is underneath the floor of the East Corridor (now robbed out). It fills the corridor, bordered on the west by the stylobate of the interior colonnade, on the north by the east west stylobate, and on the east by the Temple East Exterior Wall. The fill is constructed in almost exactly the same fashion as the floor bedding of the orchestra and adytus maximus: chunks of sandstone in mud mortar. Thus, it has been included in Phase II, although it may in fact represent the bedding of the original Phase I floor of the East Corridor. The bedding was not excavated this season; in areas where pavers still seal it the bedding should be removed in future seasons in order to recover material remains for dating.
Underlies Locus 6.
