Description | An east-west wall which abuts Wall 3 and Stylobate 1 and probably dates to the same period. It is constructed of irregularly-cut, sandstone blocks. The top of the wall is at the same level as the top of the stylobate, but is rough and unfinished. Until more of the wall is uncovered it is not possible to be certain as to the period of construction or purpose. The measurements of the wall are 1.7 m (north-south) and 4.25 m (east-west). On the west end, the wall becomes a jumbled mass of rocks and ends. Wall 4 is discussed in Daily Field Form Sequence Number 25016. |
