Description | The well-constructed wall of the orchestra. It is slightly more than hemisphericalmore "horseshoe" shapedand preserved to four courses (approximately 0.30 m thick). Its limestone and sandstone blocks are diagonally dressed and tightly fitted together. There are traces of mortar between the stones, and plaster at the base of the wall (overlapping the orchestra floor; see Locus 7 above). |
