Description Fragment of a "cut-out" akroterion preserving complete, small curved pointed member, two flat smooth sides, one flat smooth edge which by one convex and one concave arc forms a beak-like projection with a pointed end. The curved outline is somewhat irregular. The piece is broken at the base where it attached to topmost part of a ridgepole tile. Another break goes perpendicular to the base break, between lowest part of concave arc and bottom of the piece. Probably the piece formed a lateral decorative extension, next to the tile, of main part of the akroterion.
Fabric Description Murlo terracotta fired light brown on surface and gray at core. Red slip on all finished surfaces.
