Description This is a small unit. This unit is a cluster of bone and a complete pot found in a bin. The only bones in the cluster are cattle scapulae: three X finds that we think are actually only two bones. These X finds were given a separate unit number: the rest of the bin contents are unit (13925). The two cattle scapulae are both broken, which is presumably why they have three X find numbers. We think that they may have been fairly complete bones in the bin but we are missing significant portions of them. There is no bone except the scapulae in this unit and one sheep-size rib fragment that got accidentally included. The two scapulae clearly come from different animals (MNI=2) because both are rights are one is young and the other is not. Burning only light on proximal articulation of X4 -- does not look intentional; no gnawing, no digestion. The surface condition of one scapula is good: fairly fresh. The other’s is moderate but not bad. On the priority tour, it sounded like the floor of the bin and one side of the pot were burned but this very localized burning did not affect the rest of the bin or its contents. The scapulae were clearly deliberately placed in the bin. They show no signs of working. Last F Number=1.
