Bird Specimens Description | >4mm flotation #5079 (#1-4) has a lot of mammal, amphibian, and fish. There is a medium bird ulna and a few fragments of small and medium bird long bone shaft. Some burning. Another bag of >4mm flotation #5079 is almost entirely amphibian, with a probable fox distal fibula and a single fragment of bird long bone shaft (#13), burnt (the non-bird is not). >4mm flotation #5078 (#5-12) is about half amphibian and mammal. The bird is spread through the body and about half burnt. >4mm flotation #5127 (#14-23) says 155/2. It contains a whole lot of amphibian, snake, and mammal, including what I am pretty sure is a human third phalanx. About a quarter of the bag, and still a fair amount, is bird long bone, spread through the body, mostly medium bird. A little burning. |
