Description | A beardless head preserved from below the nose and including portion of the neck. There are three vertical depressions along the frontal axis: above and below the mouth 0.019 m wide, and a cleft in the chin slightly wider and more subtly modeled. The mouth is formed by two ridges curving downward, the lower curving more, so that the mouth is wider and deeper at the corners. Seen in profile the face curves out to form the mouth, then dips in and curves out again to form the chin. The chin is slightly undercut before the neck is formed. The modeling is secure and the lines are clean and well articulated. |
