Description Sherd from curved, vertical vessel handle (top edge thicker, close to point of attachment to vessel). Preserves figure decoration molded in relatively high relief on exterior surface: figure of a woman from top of head to approximate waist, with bird on each shoulder. Figure has large head in proportion to smaller, unelaborated body with flat, trapezoidal chest and rubbery arms held dowm at sides of body. Head is narrow oval with large mass of hair detailed in small lines on top of head, and two thin, straight braids hanging down on either side of neck and blending into area of chest. Features are almond-shaped eyes outlined with deep grooves and eyebrows single arched grooves; mouth is large - narrow but larger than lower, set in recessed area; slight modulation for cheeks, nose abraded; right ear visible as raised, curved area. On each shoulder of the figure is a bird which faces into the figure: plain, round raised area above tear-shaped area for head and body; legs a single vertical raised line. Interior surface of sherd undecorated.
