Description | Modeled in high relief. The smooth hair is parted in the middle and by the ears divdes into two strands. The right ear is smaller than the left. Both ears, with three lobes indicated, are formed by a ridge of clay. The almond shaped eyes are recessed from the narrow forehead. They have tear ducts and lids. The nose has two ridges and ends in three knobs. The mouth nose has two ridges and ends in three knobs. The mouth is wide and sinks in the middle. There are two fangs on either side of the nose. In between the fangs are four flat teeth. The tongue, with its central groove, hangs from the center of the mouth. The chin follows the outline of the tongue. The back is smooth in center and tough where the Gorgon broke away from its cover tile. |
