Description | The long fingers are indicated by three parallel grooves defining four ridges of almost equal size. Their curve is flattened into three planes so that the angles indicate the joints. Slight grooves seperate the larger, rounder thumb (tip missing) from the first segment of the first finger which it touches. The broken area is roughly rectangular (0.140 m x 0.060 m) and in a plane paralleling that of the second segment of the fingers. Its axis is at an angle to the top of the back of the hand. Thus, there is no wrist, but only a hand tapering outward from a backing larger than the clasped fist itself. |
