Description | Fragment of a "cut-out" akroterion, in the shape of a low ridge attached to the topmost part of the ridge pole tile (not preserved); two flat, smooth sides taper upwards in a curved outline towards a flat, smooth top edge; the ridge was attached to the tile surface axially; it rises from the tile in a gentle curve (chipped end of fragment); proceeds with a level upper surface for about 0.080 m, then turns upwards (into rising member?) near the point where the piece is broken. |
