Description | The deep cavetto is decorated with a molded strigil pattern. The grooves setting off each strigil are spaced every 0.003 m. The back fo the crown follows the curve of the cavetto. Below the cavetto, on the left, is a smooth edge curved at the bottom, probably for a water spout. To the right of the edge is the bottom cup of a rosette in high relief. A knob remains in the cneter from which spring the petals. The scar of a molded head remains on the right edge. Three-quarters of the outline of the head remains, the rest of the head would have extended over the next sima plaque. The back is completely smooth. The left side retains a smooth edge showing that it is the original surface. Part of the rear projection of the lower left corner begins halfway up the side. |
