Description | Features are large and in high relief. The hair is a simple coil, parted in the center. To the left of center in the hair is a round hole. The hair divides into two strands by the ear. The large, almond shaped eyes with their lids are recessed from the narrow forehead. The nose is divided into two sections and ends in three knobs. The ears are formed by a ridge of clay. The left ear is smaller than the right. the large, open mouth sinks beneath the nose. In the mouth, two fangs, on either side of the nose, frame four flat teeth. The tongue, with a central groove, hangs from the middle of the mouth. The line of the chin follows that of the mouth and tongue. The back is smooth in the center and rough along the edges where the Gorgon broke away from its cover tile. |
