Description | Fragment of a "cut-out" akroterion(?), preserving section of a very thick member with two surface planes; two flat sides, one unfinished, one smooth; the finished side has two surface planes: a wider top plane bordered along the preserved curving edge by a narrow recessed plane; the surface of the latter slopes slightly towards the top plane; difference of level between the two planes up to about 0.005 m; two flat, smooth joining edges, one straight, one concavely curving. As for shape, this piece seeems to be parallel to 19680624, thus the straight edge would form the end of the member. |
