Description | A portion of worked ivory, roughly fan shaped, is preserved. Two finished faces and two finished edge are preserved. One finished face has no defined edges or curvature. Slightly offset from this surface is another finished surface, roughly triangular in shape. The opposite surface of this triangular spur is also worked. This finished surface gently curves up into a curved finished edge less than 0.001 m in height. Both the finished edge and face display curvilinear striations which appear to be the result of working with a serrated edge or drill. Opposite this finished edge is another curved finished edge. The surface is also striated and appears to have been worked with a serrated edge. The entire fragment is black in color, which appears to be the result of burning. |
