Note Fig. 26. Interior of one of the two vaulted burial chambers of a “pyramid” tomb in Operation 208, Abydos, 2013, view to the southeast. The entrance shafts are on the southeast side of the tomb, and the area of missing masonry adjacent to the photo board may represent the collapsed top of the original entrance to the chamber from the shaft. The large hole in the vault, one of two, pre-dates 2011 and may be ancient.
