Title Worked Ivory Fragment
Primary photo False
Photo Type Cataloged Artifact

Description A portion of worked ivory, roughly rectangular in shape, is preserved. The fragment preserves two finished faces and one finished edge. Only one finished face is decorated. The decoration consists of four incised lines, varying in length from 0.015 m to 0.011 m, spaced less than 0.001 m apart. The incised lines run the entire length of the fragment, and are roughly parallel to each other. The fragment is slightly curved on one side, and the incised lines follow this same curve. On one side there is a slight protrusion preserved, roughly triangular in shape, that is slightly offset from the decorated face. The surface of the preserved fragment is black in color, and appears to be the result of burning.
