Description | The front opening is wider than high. It curves back from the nose to the fangs, and then to its farthest projections at the bottom lip which is flat and thin. The rounded nose has two well indented nostrils. The nose narrows back, and then forward to form the back of the almond shaped eye sockets. Its right eyeball is almost rectangular, but the left one is almond shaped. Between the eyes and the mouth are bulging cheeks. The side holes behind the fangs are comparetively small. Around the left eye the clay is fired slightly darker. There are many traces of red paint, especially on the bottom of the lower jaw. |
