Description | Molded onto this strap handle and following its curve is the figure of a man, preserved from the crown of his head to his hips. His head, torso and arms are in relief, like the heads of the two felines which he is holding by their legs at hip level. Incised lines mark the belt circling his narrow waist, the slanting oval eyes, the eyebrows and the mouth. They also detail the headdress: a hemisphere with closely spaced vertical lines ending in a narrow band on the forehead and two ringlets on each side, falling in front of the shoulder to chest level. |
