Description Curving exterior section of an impasto double handle. Decorated on the outside with the molded figure of a winged woman in a frontal position, rendered from the waist up but broken at the neck. The wings begin at the waist and extend past the shoulders to the top break, gradually widening. They are adorned with horizontal incised tongues. Two wide rope-like strands (tresses) border the interior of the wings. These strands are decorated with incised vertical slashes. From each lateral side an arm extends out diagonally, bent at the elbow. The hands clutch the rope-like strands. The fingers on her right hand are crudely fashioned by four incised lines. The left hand has worn off. Below the waist there are four incised grooves running horizontally from side to side.
