Description | Preserves a waterspout between two partially preserved rosette scars. The spout is of the larger type; it is is wider than high at the opening of the mouth. The end of the ear on the left is chipped and the other ear is not preserved. The roughly round eyes bulge up from the depressions formed by the nose and the eyebrows. The nose is vaguley triangular, but throughtout its length it is flatter and wider than the nose on 19680080 (cf nose widths: 0.016 m for 19680030 and 0.026 m for 19680031, measured at the eyes). The end of the nose is semicircular and has two depressions for nostrils. Unlike 19680030 the mouth is not all in the same plane, but curves back to the fangs. There is a hole on either side behind the fangs. The rosette scars, only partially preserved, have shallow diagonal striations. There are traces of red paint, especially on the bottom and the back of the sima, along the lower front, and the strigils. |
