A 30cm cut was taken in meters D-E/71-72 to adepth of ca. 60 to 90cm.  The soil remained dark brown in color and contained a heavy concentration of large rocks, forming a dense rock pack.  This rock pack again rendered excavation in the area very difficult.  The soil became a bit looser in consistency as the rock pack increased in depth, but remained dark brown in color.  One cassetta of worn tile, including a small amount of plaster, and a few pieces of worn impasto pottery were discovered among the rocks.

Work continued in T-26 west.
