75/N-O, in and around the large stump, was cleaned. Many pithos fragments were found under the stump and left in situ. Tiles too were numerous in this area. Photos were taken, and the pithos was lifted.
73-74/M-N were taken down to 90-95 cm. Earth was generally brown with some pockets of orange-red. 1/2 a cassetta of tile and 1/2 a cassetta of plaster were dumped.
P.M.
M-O/72 were taken down to 100 cm below surface. Earth in this cut was blackened and full of burned pottery. One cassetta of pottery was filled. Several pieces of painted pottery were found. Large fragments of burned bone were common as well. Two cassetta of tile were dumped and one of plaster.
