Conclusion

The excavation of T-76 during the 2015 season can be seen as successful. In regards to the investigation into the area directly to the west of the Archaic building, T-66 ( KD II ), as well as the area directly to the east of T-75 ( KRC I ), evidence of a new monumental linear rock feature was found. Upon further investigation this feature aligned with the linear rock feature found in 2014 in T-66 ( KD II ) and subsequently, the monumental linear rock feature found in T-75 (KRC I ). In addition, a smaller linear rock feature running west to east was found approximately 2 meters to the north of the southern feature. Upon further investigation, it was found to align with a similar feature found in T-66 ( KD II ) and T-75 ( KRC I ). Between these two smaller linear rock features was an even smaller feature running north to south, connecting

the two creating a small cubicle-like space.

In regards to the search for evidence of a monumental building located to the west of the Archaic building, the linear rock features found throughout T-76 and T-66 ( KDII ), align with linear rock features found throughout the rest of the excavation area, specifically in trenches T-69 ( EMO VII ), T-59 ( KRK VII ), T-65 ( JWM/KRC I ) and T-66 ( KD II ). It can be said with confidence that the monumental linear rock feature found in the southern extent of T-76 is the eastern wall of a previously undiscovered  monumental building that extends throughout the 2015 excavation area and aligns directly with the trenches mentioned above. In contrast to T-66 (KD II ), no preserved ancient floor surface has been found in T-76 or its neighbor to the west, T-75 ( KRC I ).

In regards to the possible function of the monumental building, further investigation is

needed. No contextually secure material was found in the final locus of the trench, Locus 2 .
